I recently went on a mission, no, not to a far away place, nor on a peace making mission, but a mission to find the best quality rod cover for my very expensive fishing rods.I paid a lot of money for the many many rods I use on tour and at home. There is nothing worse for your rod, than putting them into the rod locker without a cover,or the guides can bend or break off. Big bucks for a rod, very little to CYA.
The mission was to order every rod cover/jacket/sox on the market and thoroughly test them under real conditions. Conditions not at home carefully putting my rods away, but under end of tournament conditions when we want everything to go fast and easy.
The first thing I noticed with most of the inferior brands were that the end of the cover, closer to the hook keeper was falling apart,catching the lure on the keeper, or folding out, making the cover longer and always catching the hook. Another flaw I found was the ends where the tip is, was not reinforced and fell apart.

The top of the RODSOX is reinforced with a solid rubber coating making it impossible to break apart or catch the hook.The tip has a heat shrink vinyl band which is color coded for quick I.D.that guarantees it will not fall apart or let the tip poke thru unlike other brands. RODSOX has many different colors and 5 stock lengths plus any custom length needed.
The commitment RODSOX has to it's customers is unparalleled than any other company reviewed.Soon they will be unveiling a Patriot Series in Desert Camo,in which they will be donating 15% of each RODSOX sold to the Wounded Warrior Program. As a Army Vet, I for one would rather see my money go to a company that gives back to our Veterans.
